Annie Tippe
Annie Tippe is a director and actress based out of Brooklyn and she is very proud to have served as the Assistant Director for Political Subversities for the last 2+ years. A graduate of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, she spends her time working on a wide range of projects in a number of different roles. Recent directing credits include The Collected Rules of Gifted Camp (The Brick Theater) and First Ladies Project (The Cookery Festival) as well as various pieces at Williamstown Theater Festival, where she spent this last summer as one of the Directing Interns. She has assisted directors Bob Balaban (Premiere of Blue Deep), Rachel Chavkin, Michael Silverstone and Fritz Ertl. As a performer, she has most recently performed in readings of Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812 (dir. Rachel Chavkin, Ars Nova) and Folk Wandering (dir. Andrew Neisler, FGP Playground). She is currently developing a new piece about Coney Island with collaborators Andrew Farmer and James Monaco. But most importantly, she has two pugs, and you can ask her about them at any given time.
